Monday: Slacked.. Under pretext of studying immuno.. Had Pharmaco tut for 1 hour in school.. Was so tired that I fell asleep before watching Lost!! =(

Tues: Spent the morning & afternoon searching for online episodes of Lost! I even went through registering for a MOBTV account to watch the free Lost catchup episodes! BUT my laptop had some trouble streaming the episdoes, so I went back to searching for Lost episode 11. Luckily I managed to!! Phew. But I was watching in trepidation coz the MageUpload keeps prompting me I've watched my "limit".

Lunch was Aunty's Nasi Lemak! Wunly finally came for japanese lesson!!

Wed: Pharmaco, Microbio and Water lecture (lasted only 1 hour!!) Medical microbio lecturer was a humourous guy, so it was a pretty interesting lecture~

Thurs: Flipped through more Microbio text.. But I doubt if anything stayed in my brain.. ACtually it felt more like an immuno revision coz I was reading the Medical microbio section & it was mostly about our immune system, T cells, B cells etc..

Friday: Went to the library to photocopy some Microbio text pages and returned the book! Heng, no library fine!! After Immuno lecture, I went to study in the library. Tricia joined my about 1 hour later.. Read Pharmaco text, photocopied some pages. Although I was late by 10 minutes in returning the RBR Pharmaco text, I incurred the $1 fine!! (the fine was $1 per hour!!) Tried the new Indo food at Science canteen for lunch. Then went back to reading pharmaco text..

Went for Stats lecture, then met Tricia after lecture ended.. Tricia's coming over my place to stayover!! =)

Had fried rice for dinner coz Tricia loves my aunty's fried rice! hehe. We ate while watching Jackie Chan's "Who Am I"! Hmmm I spent the night watching THe Amazing Race & Survivor, while Tricia used my laptop.. THen we slept around 1plus.

Sat: Woke up around 9am, had breakfast, watched a bit of Avatar.. Then started on Stats assignment 3.. Tricia's getting ready to go home as I'm typing this.. So shall blog again soon.. TOnight perhaps?!

The hidden skeletons of my family closet:

1. Mummy feels indebted to 二姨 coz 二姨 sacrificed her studies to look after her younger siblings, so mummy'll always help 二姨 whenever she can. Which naturally includes ferrying MIchelle & Jia Hao around. Accompanying Michelle to Thailand for her plastic surgeries even though papa, Di Sheng & I objected.

COnclusion is, I'm fighting a losing battle. Rather there's no battle at all. I can never ever win against Michelle. No wonder, I've been wondering all these years, why mummy always always dotes on Michelle, buys things for her, fetch her around.. And of course there's the everlasting memory of mummy telling me: "I'll leave my jewellery etc to Michelle in the future" when I was very young.

If Michelle and I were drowning in the sea, I wonder who mummy'll save. I bet it won't be me.

2. I finally found out why mummy dislikes ah ma. I heard from aunty that mummy told her that in the past, papa didn't allow my maternal grandmother from staying with/visiting us as papa thought lung cancer was contagious (he told Aunty he didn't know that cancer was not contagious at that time). So mummy's 'exacting her revenge' now, by making a fuss everytime ah ma comes over to stay. She complains whenever Aunty helps ah ma to cook lunch/dinner..

Yes. I know. My family's incredibly twisted.

Maybe it's genetic. Because I think I'm becoming warped too.

I'm forever bitter. Bitter about my life, family, friends, school and oh-I-can-think-of-a-million-and-one-things.

To top it all, I bet ppl who reads this will just think I'm over-thinking, over-reacting and exaggerating, since I definitely don't look that part of a bitter person. Hmmm. An Oscar nomination should be in place.

Mummy：那以后你帮忙买Subway，跟papa拿钱。

Cheryl：我不要。我是自己要买的。

Mummy：不可以。一定要拿，早餐本来就是papa得买的。还有他给你的零用钱太少了。

Cheryl:那你以后载二姨，Michelle，Dexter etc， 也跟他们拿钱啦；他们自己必须自己还交通费的吗。

Mummy：Sorry hor. 我妈妈教我要帮兄弟姐妹的。所以我不会跟他们拿钱。So我是你妈妈，我叫papa给你钱，你就拿。

Cheryl:Ya，你是我妈妈，不是papa的妈妈，so不能叫他给我钱。你妈妈教你帮你的兄弟姐妹，你就帮。BUT你不是papa的妈妈，没能叫他给我钱。

Mummy:你们都一样的。只跟我拿钱，没有appreciate我。你们只看到papa。

Cheryl:因为你偏心，重男轻女。

Mummy：我没有。你们三个都是从我肚子出来的，不是你papa。所以你不会了解我的痛。以后你生孩子，你就会知道。

Cheryl：Sorry。以后我应该不打算生孩子，看到我们家的情形，我吓到了。

Mummy：你们papa应该做的更多。我拼命赚钱，很辛苦，你们都不appreciate.

*I went to the kitchen and back to my room.. She was still ranting about stuff. The last thing I caught was "我看你们三个要自相残杀"

Above is a very common exchange in our family. Although things may look to be calm on the surface, but the fact remains that our family is a very broken one.

Guess a bowl that's broken and glued toegther will still give way when used.

好羡慕那些美满家庭。能快快乐乐，和乐融融，幸福的度过每一天。我呢？战战兢兢，提心吊胆，害怕哪一天同样的情形又会发生。

Anyway, today was a pretty slack day. Had breakfast at around 10, then went back to sleep (after I tried to read Immuno notes) haha. So I woke up around 2, had roti prata (that Uncle bought for me for breakfast) and porridge for lunch.

Brought Yuki down for a walk, bought some ice cream, let Yuki wander around outside the corridor to cool down before bathing her!! =) Yay! She's all nice-smelling now!! Washed Yuki's toilet pan, bathed, had green bean soup. Brushed Yuki's teeth.. Waa all these took about 2.5 hours!!

Tues: Left house early to buy Subway (suddenly had cravings for it) before attending Stats Lecture..

Wed: Pharmaco, Microbio, Water lectures.. Got back our Water report #2, got a B+ which sucks big time! But our graph got shown to everyone as a good example!! =) Watched some documentary on water conflicts around the world..

Thurs: Almost 6 hours of Immuno lab.. Damn tired but still need to mug for Microbio test!

Fri: Immuno lecture followed by last minute mugging in the library with Nabha.. Microbio CA turned out to be ... easy & tricky. Some questions were really dead giveaway like: An organism that thrives in acidic environment is a)halophile b)acidophile c)thermophile d)mesophile e)xenophile (something like that, can't rmb the exact options) BUT the point is, the answer is so super obvious!!! Hello!! We're not kindergarden kids okay! *rolls eyes* Then there were some qn that were really irritating: An efficient anaerobic waste system generates a)methane b)acetic acid c)heavy metals d)activated sludge - I know for sure that at the end of anaerobic waste system, heavy metals are accumulated BUT is it generated? I have no idea. Acetic acid is produced in the course of anaerobic digestion BUT is it considered as a product if the digestion is EFFICIENT? I don't know. It depends how the setter sees the question.. GRRRRR. I hate wordplay.

Went for Stats lecture after Microbio CA, then papa came to fetch me & I went to buy Subway again! This time I bought for Dexter & Dharyl too. Watched some of my accumulated recorded TV programmes after dinner. After mummy came back from work, had some supper, mummy & I headed to ah xian jie jie's place for mj!! haha I carried my own chair there coz I thought there wasn't any chairs with back rest..

Reached home around 3 plus, bathed then went to bed!!

Sat: Slept in! Woke up around 11.15am. Damn shiok! Haven't been getting much sleep these few days so it was a treat to sleep more than 6 hours!! Had Subway for branch, oh man. So pissed at the Subway crew guy, he forgot to add my honey mustard!! So my Subway tasted all wrong.. Gross.

Spent the afternoon watched more TV recordings. Mummy came to fetch us around 6 plus & it was pouring cats & dogs man!! It was such a heavy downpour!! haha macam nv rain for months (which is the case actually)! Went down to Queensway's Optometrist@work to adjust my spectacles coz Yuki banged into my spectacles while struggling in excitement to go ah gong's place..

情形是这样的。我买了Subway for 早餐，但没买Dharyl 的份， 因为我一向都没买给他的。多余的那份，我给了四姨。

在送我上大学的途中，papa 告诉我 mummy 跟他说如果我以后再不买早餐给Dharyl的话，mummy将扣我的零用钱。

纳闷。原来我是用钱收买的。原来 mummy 是可以把Dharyl的幸福建立在我的不愿/痛苦。哎！钱啊钱！老实说，我还挺想跟mummy 说，扣零用钱就扣，我不稀罕；但想了想，还是乖乖就范好了。对经济不独立的我而言，钱还蛮重要的！虽然我每个月的花费不多因为我不常逛街，但我需要付日文课的费用！

算了。委曲求全好了。

Thursday: Microbio report

Friday: Immuno Lect, worked on Water report in Library, Stats lect.

Sat: Mugged Micriobio and worked on Water report. Went to mummy's colleague, Aunty Jasmine's bday BBQ at East Meadows from 7+ till 10+, then went over to CHangi Airport for Popeye's Chicken & to pick Michelle (not me lah, mummy. I was just there for Popeye's). I drove us home BUT I forgot to put on the seat belt before driving off!! Oops. Too kan chiong.. Wei Wei stayed over..

Sun: Mugged Microbio & Water report. Breakfast was Popeye's CHicken's Mashed Potato! =) Mummy, papa & DI sheng went for mummy's colleague, Uncle Yusof's daughter's wedding lunch.. While Wei Wei & I had maggie mee for lunch! (^^) Dinner was quite an unpleasant affair, I thought mummy said that the Nasi Briyani she brought back from the wedding was nice, but it was not!! =S But I still ate it lah..

Mon: Ah ma came over!! =) Continued mugging for Microbio; my progress's really slow!! Sigh. It's really uber boring studying for Microbio!! =S cham. I'm not focused at all!

It really sucks when you're almost always being rejected whenever you ask for favours. That Audrey cheng ah! Forever turning down my mj jio-ings.. And she doesn't immediately say she can't make it. SHe always goes "I'll tell you later at night k?" which FOREVER equates to "Sorry. Cannot." (sometimes followed by "you come my house play on Sunday la". AND just count the number of times I made my way specially to SEng Kang to play mj with her & 大姑妈! Really damn irritating. Not to mention, the other time when I asked if she'd join me to watch Cloudy with a CHance of Meatballs, she gave a similar reply.

I guess the only ppl who'll listen to my whims are my dad & Di Sheng (occasionally mummy). No One Else.

There. Evidence that blood is thicker than Water. Else I just haven't met any 'water' that's willing to listen & give in to my whims..

Or it just plain means that I suck so much that no one bothers to do me favours.

Senthil talked to me on MSN, and he apologised for writing down my answer, coz he does this with Nabha so he assumed I won't get angry.

I'm okay now! haha. Now that I've got it off my chest & he knows how I feel about the whole thing. Phew. It's nice to get things off my chest!! =)

Sat: Mugging. Drove car from TH back home. I still can't grasp the width of mummy's stream, keep veering to the left.. =S

Sun: Mugging.

Mon: Mugging. Went to school early in the morning at 8am for Stats; sooo sleepy!! THink I missed half the lecture snoozing. haha. Went to the library to mug water BUT I slept for 1hr20min (I set the alarm clock..) Tak boleh tahan lah! Super sleepy, slept only 5 hours.

Tues: Mugging. Decided to skip Japanese lesson. Panic mode!

Wed: Pharmaco CA!! 3 wrong and 2 blanks. Sigh. 87.5% (if I didn't mis-calculate). Crap. I could have done better. I changed one answer to the wrong one. And this paper's easier than the first CA, which means there'll be many others who'll score well. AHHHH!! My effort/sweat/dead brain cells!! All down the drain!! GRRRR. **plucks hair**

And what made my already depressed mode worse?! Me talking before our MCQ sheets were collected. WHY? Because Senthil asked me "Is JAK a serine-threonine kinase?" I replied "No. It's a tyrosine kinase" Senthil: "Ooh." WHO THEN PROCEEDS TO SHADING MY ANSWER on his MCQ sheet. I WAS STUNNED *mouth dropped open*. @)#*&!)*%^)!@(*#)!@%*^&@)*&!

The nerve!! How badly I wanted to start shooting my mouth off!! Before I could do anything, he nonchalantly asked if I had any questions I didn't know the answer to. I just went: "Sorry. I'm not going to say anything until the MCQ sheets are collected".

AHHHH!!! I can't believe he just cheated with my answer!! I'm aghast at him AND I'm soooo hating myself for answering his question!! Stupid me. Why did I feed him an answer?!!?!? I'm sooo totally going to listen to the examiners now: "No talking until the papers are collected" Yeah man. WIshed I had been a good girl.

Went down to clarify with the lecturer a question on Tyramine - inhibits NA reuptake. I chose false coz I thought it doesn't actually inhibit the Uptake 1 protein, it just reduces the reuptake of NA. BUT the lecturer said "Reduce means to inhibit, there's no such thing as complete inhibition" Harh. In his notes, it says "reduces" it didn't say "inhibits". FINE. My english sucks.

We had Histamine lecture after the CA (I didn't bring my notes coz I didn't know there was going to be a lecture), which provoked my already boiling blood. Sped off to MIcrobio lecture after Pharmaco ended. 1210 came, Prof Ho Bow still wasn't there. Ppl started leaving.. No lecture! Wah sian. I just stayed behind in the lt revising for Water CA. Eventually I was the only one left in the LT!! Since I wasn't in the mood to study; with my horrible Pharmaco results, giving away a mark to Senthil, attending Histamine lecture with my notes, I ended up 自拍-ing in the LT!! muahaha. Of coz for only a short while la! I still had to revise..

Water CA was equally bad, if not worse! There's this 7 mark question that I had no clue how to answer!! sigh. That's bad!! My answer's different from Tricia & Kai Lin!! So I'm pretty worried now!! Immediately after the test, we had project meeting!! Which I totally forgot about!! Until Tricia was standing together with Kai Lin & Alex! haha.

Reached home about 530pm, then headed down to Chinese Garden to take more photos of the Jurong Lake for our report.. Got distracted from my task by cute squirrels!!

Just chatted with Klarissa on MSN, she switched course to Warwick Econs! Quite a surprise! Part of her reason for switching is coz she wanted more from Uni life & she wanted to experience studying overseas.. Which I also would love to experience!! BUT alas. No money.

Okie! I shall read the latest chapter of Skip Beat! first before starting on Microbio report! ciao~

13 OCt: More Water mugging.. Went to for stats lecture in the afternoon, then walked over to JUrong Lake with Di Sheng, to collect water sample for tmr's practical - we're testing water quality.. Haha it was quite 刺激 coz I don't know if we're allowed to collect the lake water! But the water looks rather dirty!! I didn't take the lift on the way home! I climbed up!!

14 Oct: Busy day!! Had Pharmaco lecture (O my 天, just plain horrible..), Microbio lecture, Water lecture (which lasted approx 1 hour) so TRicia & I went to the Deck to 打发时间.. Practical was not as exciting as I thought it would be; we just handled 3 equipment- YSI multi probe, tubidometer & filtering machine.. =S We didn't get to tinker with the spectrophotometer..

Continued mugging Water lecture notes; speaking about Water lecture notes.. @#*!)&@#$(!@*&%** I just found out that our CA next week won't be tested from the uploaded IVLE readings!! WHich I've alr spent quite alot of time going through!!!! !@)*&@(*^$%&!^@*&^%$*#%T*#&^%(*&!(*#& WHAT a waste of my time!! TSK. The lecturer only announced what lectures will be covered a week before the CA!! What kind of lecturer does that!! Humph. So last minute.. No planning!

15 Oct: Met Tricia at Sci bus stop to head to Business where we're meeting Kai Lin to zap some water materials.. Biz students have their own lab room/printing that only they can access!! いいですね! Headed back to Sci alone after that, bought Megabites Choc Fudge cake before heading for Immuno lab.. Where I chatted with Jivanaah about life after grad, studies etc.. Haha we're almost in the same plight..

16 Oct: After Immuno lecture, I tapau-ed INdian food for lunch, sat at the benches outside RMBR to eat & study Water.. Then headed to Microbio lab.. Thought today's practical would end early coz it's just counting of the bacteria colonies from our previous practical.. BUT Prof Ho arranged for tutorial.. =S And our benches (2-7) suay suay kana assigned 2nd slot! There goes our early dismissal! Mugged Pharmaco while waiting for our tutorial with Prof Ho (4.20-5pm) Tutorial lasted approx 30min? haha Prof Ho's a really humourous guy!! He'll randomly spew chinese/hokkien phrases like "jiat chua", 怎么可以!.. hehe.

Prof Ho went through the findings of our practical, the mango pudding from Megabites & the Japanese beef rice from the Japanese stall at Sci Canteen had ZERO bacteria count!! =O And we had 20 replicates for each food!! Prof Ho explained that the packaging for the mango pudding might have been really hygenic/good, that's why no bacteria were found in the pudding. But he couldn't explain why the japanese food had zero bacteria!! haha, I find it unfathomable too!! haha it can't be that sterilise right!! I mean, there's fried beef & vegetables!!

Had seafood soup for dinner (which means I've had 2 meals with rice today!!) 心血来潮 I ordered pizza!! Chic Ham n Shroom and Cheese n Chic from Pizza Hut. =) Greedy pig! Just had 2 slices!! =)

又来了。我的不安，忧郁！望着窗外的风景，凝望着无止境的天空，顿时感受到自己的渺小。我想成为大海中的大鱼，而不是大海中的小鱼。然而能让我达成这个心愿的途径只有当医生呢？常感到矛盾，是因为我希望我在读医科还是因为我认为 life sciences 无法让我达成我的愿望呢？出人头地就等于赚大钱吗？曾与大姑妈提过，说我毕业后，或许会申请就读医科；大姑妈的答复是“好啊！应该的”。

哇!背负着的压力，是来自己还是家人/朋友/社会？喘不过气。憋太久，火山要爆发了！解铃人还须系铃人。只有我能帮自己呢！了解了解。

11 Oct: Went to Tiong Bahru market for breakfast with papa, mummy & 二姨, I drove from 二姨's place to Tiong Bahru. Mistake: I moved off without releasing handbrake. =S We had a heavy breakfast!! Lor mee with fried shark fish, followed by 黑糯米 and 大麦 (shared). Then I followed mummy & 二姨 to their organic shop; where we had even more food!! haha. Coz it's the shop's 1st anniversary, so they had cooked food samples!! Tried their vegetarian curry, vegetable salad & seaweed salad (tasted like achar, super yummy!!)

I drove the car on the way back. Mistakes: 1.Stopped too near the kerb when alighting 二姨. 2. Front tyre passed the junction line at red light (Cham. I was soooo scared I'll kana demerits or something) 3. When turning right, I understeered so I veered into the left lane.. Sigh. I don't think I'm the 料 for driving.. Super demoralising, esp when papa kept reminding me what to do. Guess I was wrong! I thought mummy would be the one to nag at me, but it turned out to be papa!! At least when mummy was sitting beside me, she doesn't really comment on my driving unless it's necessary. Don't feel like driving le..

Mugged Pharmaco.. And watched 中艺大哥大! 刘谦 (taiwanese magician)'s soo cool!! haha. okay. maybe coz at certain angles, he looks cute(I wanted to say bishonen, but then later I kana suan for my comment how? haha)! wahaha. After googling him, I discovered his university major was Japanese!! And his japnese is pretty fluent!! Saw Youtube clips of him performing magic in Japan!

Yay! I've completed my draft revision for Microbio! In addition, I 'sat through' Water screencast lecture 8 (23min, 25 min)! =) Di SHeng, Wei wei & I stayed at home to do our revision (them PSLE Science, me Pharmaco) BUT I kinda took a nap in the afternoon, so I only managed to finish one Pharmaco lecture..

Mummy came to send us to ah gong's house; en route I dropped by NUS to pick up a reserved library book. Since I felt particularly hungry, I had second helpings! FAT!! 大姨 asked me to help her make a birthday card for her friend.

I drove us (mummy, di sheng, 四姨, wei wei & aunty latha) home! Hmmm I still brake jerkily, and I was close to the kerb (thankfully I didn't hit the kerb) when turning out from the Macs near our house.. =S

Caught "The Haunted Mansion" on Channel 5. haha my dad's a great person to turn to for song titles; I had a song chorus stuck in my head, but I couldn't place a name to it, so I hummed the tune to papa & he knew the title!! =)

7 Oct: Stats webcast lecture 16 (55min) and Pharmaco webcast (1hr 25min).. Somehow, the time I spend watching the webcasts is always longer than the actual time!! Grrr. So my whole day was spent watching the webcasts.. sigh. Took a break in the afternoon, by delivering Ah xian jie jie's bday card & walking Yuki over to her place. =)

PSLE English paper - Wei wei complained about how easy the paper was & that she wanted it to be more difficult (coz Eng is her best subject so a tougher paper would be ideal)

8 Oct: Water screencast lecture 7 (32min and 48min), notes printing..

PSLE Mathematics paper - Di Sheng left a few blanks for problem sums. Both found paper 2 difficult.

9 Oct: Read through Microbio notes coz there's a CA coming up on 30 Oct; I'm going to be pretty busy next 2 weeks with 2 CAs on 21 Oct and Microbio report due next next friday.. Argh. 半睡半读.

PSLE Chinese paper - Wei wei found the paper easy while Di Sheng found it difficult.. Well, Monday's their last paper, then it's party time for them!! But not for me.. =(

29 Sept: Went for Stats lecture at 4pm, then headed straight for Orchard after lecture. Had Subway for dinner, then just stayed there reading Immuno notes until 745pm. Bunka's 24th anniversary dinner photos were displayed in the classroom! I ordered the one that had Wunly, Huimin & me!! hee. =)

30 Sept: Had Pharmaco lecture; Cytokine receptors! Which is related to what I've been studying for Immuno; cytokines (IL-2, TNF, TGF, IL-4 etc) macam testing my memorisation of immuno stuff.. Today's microbio was Food microbio by Prof Ho Bow; argh, the content was very dry!! =S Went to Megabites to buy Choc Fudge cake BUT it was sold out, so I got Oreo Cheese cake instead (not yummy at all)

1 Oct: Immuno CA!! Quite challenging; many left 3-4 blanks (I left 4 blanks). Once again it's down to word play - macrophages differentiates continuously from monocytes? B-cells are potent APCs? Phagocytosis is an active process whereby bound pathogens are internalized?

Yay!! I finally received my driver's license!! =) But it looks old, as in the colour of the card makes it look as though it's been through 20 years..

Spent the whole day & night working on Microbio lab report.. =S Went to bed at only 3am.. ZZzzz

2 Oct: Immuno lecture on T-cell maturation (OMG..) >??< Accompanied NAbha and Senthil to the library where they worked on their lab reports.. Had Japanese food for lunch: Tama Dory Udon! Quite yummy!! Microbio lab was quite interesting as we tested canteen food samples for bacteria etc.. My bench got watermelon juice so we didn't get to see the "stomacher" in action, though we managed to get the technicians to demo the "stomacher" on leftover nutrient agar..

3 Oct: Completed GEM 2900's assignment 2. Impromtu mj session with 大姑妈, Audrey & her bf, Eugene. Papa gave me a lift to 大姑妈's place and so he was late for his badminton game at Toa Payoh (stupid traffic jam) 大姑妈 treated us to mooncakes, longan & green bean soup! *burp* 大姑妈 was the big winner!! I lost $20/5 = $4! Well, actually I lost $35 in chips, but 大姑妈 top up some for me.. =) After the game, 大姑妈 gave me a lift to Kovan's Heartland Mall where papa was waiting for me.. =)

Papa dropped my off at ah gong's place, coz mummy, 四姨, DI sheng & wei wei were coming over to help ah gong with the burning of incense paper. I arrived pretty early (8pm) so I went to Sheng Siong to shop & bought Tom Yam maggi mee!! =) Bought Long John Silver's Cheese fries/chips combo for dinner.. Filmed the process with my camera..

Mummy sent 四姨 home, then we headed to CCK where mummy had mj session with Uncle Michael, 二姨丈 & UNcle Michael's neighbour.. I tried to revise my Water notes, but couldn't really concentrate; watched I do I Do! watched Di Sheng & Wei wei play Rock Band.. Gave DI Sheng his bday card at the stroke of midnight!! =)

Di Sheng & Wei wei went down to 7-eleven to buy cup noodles & snacks.. After our snacks, we played 'Typing Manic' on Facebook before falling asleep.. haha. We left around 5+ am & after mummy dropped off 二姨丈, I drove us home!!

Waa!! Quite scary driving on the roads!! But luckily not many cars, so not that bad.. Well I couldn't park the car coz I had no poles to guide me!! haha, so mummy parked the car..

4 Oct: Woke up around 12+, sleepy~ Had Macs' Sausage Egg McMuffin for breakfast, then we (papa, mummy, di sheng) left for Claypot Laksa at Alexander Village BUT it was close!! So we headed to ABC Market instead. AND I was driving! Scary ne! So fast test my U-turn skills.. Luckily it's the wide divider kind.. phew. I managed to park the car with papa & mummy's guidance, but the car was near the right line.. =(

After much long deliberation, we settled on Penang prawn noodles, char siew rice & Penang fried kuay tiao (shared among the 4 of us); ordered another prawn noodle coz it was pretty good! Had Mango Ice for desert. I drove the car on the way back too.. Still in the midst of getting the hang of driving the car.. =P My fastest speed was 90km/h!! 胸がドキドキしました！

Spent the afternoon bringing Yuki to the park to walk (tog with Aunty), bathing Yuki (alone!) and napping.. Papa tapau-ed stingray for dinner as 加料 since it's Di Sheng's bday! Cut cake around 10pm, Prima Deli's Choc fudge cake..

5 Oct: Spent the morning trying to do Pharmaco tut 2, which was pretty tough! As it required knowledge of dopamine receptors, knowledge of EPS etc.. So it was pretty much reading stuff from internet, and not really comprehending the contents. oops. Mummy gave me a lift to school!

Gave myself a break by reading manga!! =) till 2+am..

6 Oct: Watched Stats lecture 14 webcast (although it was only 56 mins, I took approx 3 hours to finish it, coz I was talked to Geri on MSN, rewind the clip to decipher what the lecturer said, re-load the clip as my internet connection was abit erratic) Lecture 15's even shorter, only 33mins! But I only sat through half of it; I had a bath & left for Orchard at 4pm.

I decided to watch "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" alone!! Shaw Lido 5pm show! Coz everyone I asked was not free.. Nabha wants to spend time with her mum coz her mum's flying off to India on Wed morning; Tricia has tutorial at 7pm; Huimin has piano accompaniment with her friend; Audrey Wong has lab; Audrey (cousin) wants to stay with her friends longer; Winnie's not free; Geri/Ailin/Sam's out of the country.. SOO I decided to watch it alone!!

I was late!! Luckily the show hasn't started yet; the cinema hall was pretty empty, there were 3 ppl sitting behind me. The show was hmmm entertaining, with a kiddy edge; very cheerful/colourful!! =) Totally lifts your spirits! (of coz those who want thought-provoking, meaningful shows won't enjoy this film much, I guess) "Up!" is definitely a much better show than this!

Watching a movie alone isn't that bad. In fact, it was pretty 爽. =D After the movie, I headed to Taka to walk walk abit, then bought Aunt Anne's Cinnamon pretzel for dinner.. 边吃边走向 Orchard Delfi for Japanese lesson.. Bought Old CHang Kee's Chicken Mushroom Puff for tmr's breakfast..

ARgh. I didn't realise today was test day!! haha. Totally didn't prepare for it! But even if I did prepare, it wouldn't help much coz the test standard's really high!! Almost all of the kanji hasn't been taught yet..

Papa came to fetch me, and he let me drive the car back. I was feeling abit dense after the test, so my driving kinda sucked.. 1. I drove near the right kerb when entering AYE from Alexander. 2. I accelerated a tad too much when I was supposed to filter left so that I could make a left turn. 3. My turns/filters aren't smooth, papa commented that my turns are jerky.

Felt horrible after we reached home (papa parked the car), like I just failed a test. Sigh. Papa said my driving's still quite bad.. sigh. What a damper. But all I can do is to practise more & 加油! Hopefully my 'practises' will be better.. Soooo, so far I've driven 4 times alr!

Huimin's going Sweden for exchange next sem, which means that I'm the only one in Singapore next sem!! Geri, Tricia, Ailin, Sam & Huimin all won't be in Singapore!! Who am I going to jio for movies/shopping?!

Tues: Started on Immuno 9 and 10. Went for Japanese lesson, Wunly didn't come again!! 残業しましたから。Papa came with Wei wei to fetch me, then we headed to NUS coz I wanted to return 2 library books.. Next was Sui Gu's condo coz we're bringing Crystal over for stayover!!

I thought since it was term break, I could spare some time to look after Crystal and Yuki and let Yuki have Crystal as play-mate. BUT I was wrong!! They were always fighting!! omg.. Wei Wei & I only went to sleep at 1am, after I put Yuki into mummy's room to sleep and Crystal in the living room... 鸡犬不宁!!

Wed: Got awaken by Aunty at 8am coz she didn't dare feed the dogs in fear that they'll start fighting.. So I dragged my tired butt off the bed & fed the dogs.. Then I spent 2 hours sitting in the living room keeping Yuki away from Crystal.. Nightmare!! Finally, I decided to isolate the 2 dogs by keeping Yuki in the kitchen with Aunty and Crystal out in the living room.. Went back to my room to take a nap..

At around 1pm, Wei Wei came back!! =) Heng ah. Now she can help me look after the 2 dogs.. Ah ma came over too.. So the 2 dogs were once again out in the living room.. =( So I spent my whole day in the living room supervising Yuki coz Sui Gu told me to make sure Yuki doesn't bully Crystal.. Which means I didn't get to study my immuno!! Sobs. A day wasted!!

Oh ya. Yuki was super naughty!! She didn't allow any of us to carry Crystal.. Or even touch.. Yuki'll start barking & jumping at Crystal's butt when any of us carries Crystal. Poor Crystal. ANd the Winnie the Pooh file Papa bought for me (in Genting) cracked coz Siyi accidentally bumped it off the cabinet.. Sobs..

Sui Gu & Sui Kim finally came at 7pm!! Hooray!! haha. After our dinner, we just sat around playing with the dogs.. Then they brought Crystal home!! And with that, peace returned!! Read Immuno 11 and 12.. =)

Thurs: I woke up around 7am, to see an overcast sky, so I whipped out my camera to take photos then went back to sleep a while more.. Papa bought my Masala Thosai for breakfast!! Started from Immuno 1.. Managed to finish Immuno 7 before I went to bed.. Hmmm I had abit of diarrhea today, dunno why though..


Fri: I managed to finish reading the notes.. Diarrhea stopped, but now my stomach hurts. =S Stupid GIT (for those who don't know, GIT means gastrointestinal tract). Yuki slept on my bed at night, but I was scared she might jump back onto the bed after she visits the toilet at night (meaning her pee/poo might jump along onto my bed) so I carried her to her bed (but somehow she doesn't like her bed, she'd rather sleep on the floor..)

Sat: Siyi came over to scan her certficates.. Had Masala Thosai for breakfast again!! =) And Mummy said she might have to ask Papa to look out for good Indian guys for me..

Thurs: 8am stats lecture.. Went home.. Slacked.

Friday: 10am immuno lecture, horrible horrible horrible!! T cells maturation, DC, B cells, pathways. O_O Argh think my immune system's gonna murder my brain cells! =P Went to library with Ikuyo to study/kill time until Stats lecture at 4pm.. I spent the time going through past stats lecture, went down for lunch around 130pm.. Went home after lecture! Yay!! Term break's here!

Sat: Started going through Water notes, readings etc.. Unfortunately, albeit at a slow pace.. Think I only finished 3 notes? Dinner at ah gong's place.. As usual, Yuki goes round disturbing Crystal & Oreo, Oreo's forever growling & fighting with Yuki.. Crystal & Oreo both shitted outside the toilet pan!! =S Mummy even stepped on Crytal's poop. Yeeww.. Sui gu tried to get Oreo to jump onto the stool(after seeing Yuki jump onto the stool & sit/lie down on the stool) but to no avail!! muahaha. =) Watched my dunno-how-many-times-I've-watched Van Helsing shown on Channel 5...

Sun: Woke at 6am coz we're going to Malacca!! Had breakfast at one of rest stops along the way. Arrived at Malacca around 1030am, parked our cars at Mahkota; where the adults had their Old Taste White Coffee! Then the shopping began!! Whee~ Free & easy for 2 hours.. Yup. Ah xian jie jie was with her boyfriend, Duo Yi zhang went around alone.. I bought a top and a pair of hair clips! =)

Was supposed to meet at Palawan at 1pm, but Ah Xian jie jie was late, so we shopped abit at Palawan.. Everyone wanted to have Chicken rice balls for lunch, but I wanted Baba Laksa.. Majority wins, so the plan was to have chicken rice balls, BUT the queue was sooo long!! Haha. So we switched to Baba laksa! =) There was a queue too, but not as long. Hmmm I think the standard of the laksa has dropped..

Of course, she took a super long time choosing the mee sua & other titbits.. =( Hurried back to our cars to begin our journey to Holiday Plaza, JB (around 5pm), reached Terbau Hawker Centre around 7pm, for our 炒果条 dinner.. Yummy! Ordered super large glasses of sugar cane to share.. =)

Then shopped abit at Holiday Plaza. Bought hair clip from Chameleon.. THen it was Home Sweet Home!! There wasn't a jam at the causeway, but there was abit of a jam at the Woodlands Customs itself (we were stuck there approx 20min)

Bathed. Watched Samurai Girl (what an anti-climax ending). Slept.

Mon: Continued my Water revision.. Spent an hour trimming Yuki's long hair!! hee. Very satisfying to see her all neat & puppy-like. But I didn't cut much of her face hair coz Di Sheng was adament about keeping her face hair long.. So I kept bugging him to let me cut Yuki's face hair. He finally agreed after I agreed to help him with his Hari Raya's card-making.. =)

Watched the Emmy's while reading my notes. It wasn't really watching, more like glancing every now and then at the dresses the ladies were wearing.. =)

Tues: I finally finished reading my Water notes around 3pm! Had Nasi Lemak for lunch. Shall move onto to Immuno soon. I almost forgot about my microbio lab report, so I gotta start on that sometime soon..

Friday: Microbio lab.. ZzzZZ. Quite boring, just looking through results of practical 2's streaking etc.. And some slides of activated sludge, primary/final settling tank..

Sat: Went out for breakfast at 745am with papa, mummy, ah ma & Di sheng! Then came home and revised for Pharmaco CA, then slept, then awoke with a runny nose!! Argh. Stupid time to fall sick (plus the H1N1 virus out there..) Drank cooling tea, took flu tablet, slept.. Mummy & the rest went down to Ah gong's house.. Had a shock when mummy came back home & bought me Avocado milkshake!! Awww.. (but I don't think she came back all the way just to bring me avocado milkshake, think she came back to rest coz she switched on the air-con and watched Singapore Idol with Di Sheng)

After my nap, medicine etc, I felt better!! So I decided to go down to Ah gong's house, and we brought Yuki along!! Which turned out to be quite an irritating experience. Since Oreo & Crystal weren't there, Yuki kept running all over the place.. What a headache.. =S

Sunday: Studied for Pharmaco.. Left for Mustafa Centre around 430pm, coz the place where we're having dinner is near to Mustafa centre, so we thought of visiting Mustafa.. Waa. This's my first time seeing so many 印度同胞 at a place!! Now I know what it feels like to be a minority amongst majority.. We just bought a laser for Yuki's entertainment..

Monday: Papa's bday!! Stats lecture at 8am (omg. sleepy) Went to library to mug for Pharmaco, napped a while.. Then headed to Pharmaco lab.. Which was boring!! Coz it was just 2+ hours of typing and pressing enter at certain intervals.. ZzzZz

Tuesday: More Pharmaco mugging & napping!! Japanese lesson, mugging.. Then fell asleep while mugging, woke at 130am, decided I was too sleepy to mug, so I hit the sack. Oh oh! Sui gu said his brother-in-law's going to give up his husky (Cherish!!), but mummy & papa both disallow us to adopt it.. Sobs. Cherish's so cute! And I think it'd be soo cool to have a husky.. But it is true it's high maintenance.. Hopefully Sui gu adopts it, then I'll get to play with Cherish!! =)

Wednesday: Woke at 7am!! So that I could mug more & print Water notes.. Papa sent me to school!! =) Test was quite okay, except for the fact that I screwed up a few questions. argh. And there's negative marking!! I left 7 blank & I think I got 5 wrong.. oh manz.. Hope I didn't screw up that badly..

Microbio Lecture (last lecture with TSS) on sewage treatment. Thought I found the content familiar, ah ha! We learnt it in RJ!! haha now I'm glad that RJ taught us Biotech option! =) whee~

My day ended with Water lecture! =) Took 96, then 154 home.. Bathed, shared instant pasta with Di Sheng, watched 100% Entertainment, surfed the internet.. SLACKED!! Whoo hoo!

Learning 张学友's 每天爱你多一些 Canto version coz I really love the song since young (heard 方大同's version over the radio recently, kinda re-ignited my interest in the song) I don't speak Canto, so it's quite a challenge learning the song!! haha. But I managed to find the Canto "pinyin", but dunno if it's accurate! Fun Fun! =)

Sunday: Spent the day looking through Immuno notes.. Of course, I studied till I fell asleep.. Watched Charlie's Angels:Full THrottle and Samurai Girl on CHannel 5! Samurai Girl was quite interesting!! Haha got cute guy!! =)

Monday: Studied Microbio notes, started on Pharmaco's GPCR notes.. Napped.. WEnt for circuit lesson from 8-9pm.. I was soooo nervous the whole night!! I went to bed around 115am, but I was still awake at 220am.. Then I slept for abit, before waking up at 345am!! I was having nightmares about the Practical test on 8/9/09.. I dreamt that the tester failed for the reason "脸不顺眼".. OMG..

Tuesday: I think I slept for less than 5 hours? Started on Pharmaco notes 1,2... THen went online to find ppl to chat about test coz I was so freaking nervous/scared. Sam was online!! =) phew. At least I managed to get some of my nerves to quieten down..

Drove around bbdc area, went through S course, crank course, directional change, upslope etc.. THen around 145pm, we parked in Bukit Gombak mrt carpark, where Mr Sim showed my his circuit video.. Then around 210pm, we left for BBDC.. Omg. I was just a bunch of nerves!! Gulp.

Placed my documents into the testee's box (the box was empty!!), then I waited with the rest of the testees.. Then one by one, they got called.. BUT my name wasn't called!! And it was alr past 245pm!! Called Mr Sim, to ask him for help, then he showed up outside the room; once I told him I did place my documents into the box, he said "Don't worry, they'll call you soon".

Indeed, my tester came! haha he was the one who called "Cheryl Fox" when he was calling for "Cheryl Teo" (there I was thinking that he'll be a nice tester to have since he's humourous); turned out he called for the wrong Cheryl.. He was supposed to be my tester!!

And so started my test.. First was vertical parking (38?), then S course, then slope (7), directional change, parallel parking, crank course.. [if I rmb correctly.. haha] Then it was route 1!! I was soo relieved when we finished.. Then the question came: Did I pass?!?! I was really anxious while waiting for tester to come to the briefing room.. Then he appeared.. And he said: "You passed" Torrents of relief & joy swept through my body!! OMG. I passed!! YAY!! *pops champagne* I had 8 demerits though.. But at least I passed!!

After getting my test results, went to find Mr Sim at Esso to inform him that I passed.. He asked me to write testimonial for him.. Then collected my booking cars from Mr Sim, headed back to BBDC to watch the 'graduation' and 'orientation' videos.. Proceeded to apply for driving license.. Everything ended around 410pm.. Walked back to Bukit GOmbak mrt..

I called papa to inform him of my pass!! Then I sms-ed mummy, Tricia & Audrey! hee. Papa was quite surprised to hear I passed (or maybe coz I didn't inform him of my test at all)..

Headache! Must be due to the lack of sleep.. And all the adrenaline or whatever hormones disappearing.. Showered, printed notes, had dinner before heading for japanese lesson..

Do I seem like I don't have a life besides studying? Apparently Huimin thinks so.. But I learn japanese, go ah gong's house every Sat night, watch lots of tv programmes.. I don't think my life revolves only around studies leh. But as they say: 旁观者清，当局者迷. So maybe HUimin's right?

And comments like "Huh. You fail before meh" *ouch* are part of the reason why I hate failures. Imagine if I failed my 2nd driving test; I can totally see ppl going "Huh you failed 2 times ah".. The horror. The contempt/disgrace. yucks. I hate failing.. So disgraceful..

Thursday: Project meeting was at 12pm, but I went to school early to do some studying/microbio report. Was at sci library looking up Microbio text, then headed to music library to meet Tricia.. Tricia & I started on the report around 1215pm.. Alex came around 1245pm? coz she couldn't find her way.. Ended our meeting around 1pm..

SPent the afternoon doing Microbio & Water report.. Well, I ended up going to bed only around 130am.. Stupid reports..

Friday: Submitted microbio report before Immuno lecture.. Which was HORRIBLE! argh. Bad lecturer teaching really cheem stuff = Lagi worse combo.. Sigh. I had almost no clue of what was going on!! Sobs.

Seeing I had a break from 12 to 4pm, I brought along my laptop, hoping I'd be able to watch "Mind Your Language" during the break. But I only managed to watch half an hour worth!! Coz I had lunch with Nabha (Alicia was supposed to come too, but she wasn't feeling well), then Audrey came along, so we just sat in the canteen chatting & stuff.. Oh oh. Mr ASif came along, Nabha & Senthil were catching up with him & his trip to Maryland/Boston/Brazil..

Pharmaco, microbio, water lecture.. Then had a group meeting to discuss our report; headed to the library to check if we have a map library. After being referred from counter to counter, it turned out that we didn't have a map library, but the geography dept has some maps, but abit troublesome to get them so we gave up on the maps..

Headed to prof's office so we could clarify our doubts about the report; but she wasn't in her office, as we about to leave, she came!! haha. lucky. So we checked with her what to include in the report & stuff. Yup. After our consultation, Tricia, Alex & I left for Bukit Timah canal so we could take photos of the canal & investigate the water quality etc.. Met Jorina at the traffic junction leading from Law campus!! Pleasant surprise~ =) SUn was horrible.. But we managed to get photos! Going to meet up tmr to complete the report (hopefully)..

154 journey back home took 1hour, reached home around 7pm.. ZzZZZzz.. Fell asleep on the bus.. damn sleepy.. Bathed, dinner, watched parts of Singapore Idol, Ariel's Beginnings & Miss Foodie.. And Mind your language!! =)

Worked on Microbio lab report today.. Didn't achieve much, coz I didn't know what to write in discussion of inoculation in liquid/solid media.. Shall check with Nabha & Senthil tmr..

Had chicken rice for lunch!! Aunty's version! haha. =) Papa fetched me to school, even though he need not go out.. Awww. So sweet!! Had a new lecturer for stats lecture, she's very enthu but abit overzealous le! She spent half an hour introducing herself, talking about Taiwan's typhoon, uncertainty of the plane taking off in times of typhoon etc etc.. And she's abit lame.. Her name's Peiyi, so she goes "you know ppl who pay money are payers, but I'm payee [peiyi]" get it?! -_-'''

After lecture ended at 5.45pm, I went to Co-op to get brownies for Sam! =) Thought she might enjoy them on her flight back to the States.. Although I managed to get onto 95, 111 took quite a while to come, so I only managed to each Far East around 6.40pm.. =S Dinner was Chicken rice too! haha.. 2 meals of chicken rice! I prefer Aunty's chili & chicken though, coz her chili's spicier and her chicken seems less fattening & bloody.. Had desert at the basement of Far East, brownie & fruit sundae.

Then Sam & Ofe walked Huimin & me to Delfi Orchard for our japanese lesson. Gave Sam a goodbye hug.. =) Take care Sam!! Think of everyone!! If possible, spend abit of your thinking on me... hee

Sunday: Breakfast was curry & bread! Revised Pharmaco & Immuno lectures in the day. Shared char siew rice with Di Sheng.. Napped in the afternoon. Left house at 4.15pm to fetch 二姨 & family to go Ang Mo Kio's Uncle Leong's Kitchen for dinner.. Suigu's treating us to crab bee hoon!! =)

We reached around 5pm, but Suigu was still on his way.. So we ordered drinks first! Coconuts! Then I read through my immuno notes to kill time.. The food finally came around 6.15pm! =) Yummy!

We left first coz JIa Hao was taking his own sweet time to savour his crabs.. haha. After dropping us off, papa went to 399's Prima Deli to buy mummy's birthday cake! The chocolate truffle cake was nice!! =)

Received sms from Sam to meet up for dinner on Tues before Japanese lesson; which made me wonder if my blog entry brought on the sudden invite.. haha. But I don't want her to ask me out just coz of my blog!! I mean I'd want her to ask me out coz she wants to meet me & not coz of my blog entry!!! I feel that she's asking me out coz my blog entry made her feel bad, not that she really wants to meet me (though she says she wants to meet me..) Am I making sense? haha. I bet it's just "me" again.. ** Sorry Sam!! I really didn't blog that entry just so you'd ask me out!! Just 发牢骚. 不好意思!

Monday: Stats lecture at 8am! omg. It's been a week or so without 8am lectures!! I was nodding away during lecture! Sleepy!! =S Went to library to look through pharmaco tut on PDE inhibitors.. oh man. So cheem!! haha. The mechanism of cGMP/cAMP signalling was taught in Biochemistry BUT I so forgot about it!! oops. I should rmb rite?! Naughty Cheryl. Luckily I borrowed Senthil's tut answers last week, coz he said the lecturer'll call names..

Met Alicia & Audrey at the library's entrance! Then we went YIH for lunch, had hotdog bun & lemon juice!! IT Coop doesn't have my printer's toner!! sobs. MY printer is still out of toner!! =( It was really nice catching up with Alicia! I haven't seen her since 1st of June! haha. After lunch, Audrey & I went back to Science (Alicia went back to RVR), where I bought my Janeway's Immuno text($73.15)!! Audrey's COOP membership let me saved $8.13! Yay! Then I bought a pair of snow flake earrings at the bazaar, before heading for pharmaco tut..

During which I suay suay kanna called.. Luckily it was a question that SEnthil had answers to.. phew. So I didn't 丢脸. =P Aspirin & compound X -> exacerbate blood thinning -> excessive bleeding! I'll rmb this for quite a while!

Rushed back home coz Tricia & Kai Lin were at my place doing our 'Water' project.. haha yup. Tricia was the 'host' for me! So while I was in school, Tricia & Kai Lin were at my place! Anyway, we didn't manage to finish our project, ran into some problems, so we emailed the lecturer.. Walked Kai Lin to Bus 30 bus stop.. ohoh. Found out that Kai Lin was from Hwa Chong & she had 4 As for A levels! haha same as me!! And we're both not doing Med/Dentistry/Law/Engineering/Acct!! =)

好困! But still need to work on Microbio report!! 加油加油! Cheryl! Fighting!

Sadly, I didn't manage to revise my lectures!! I only managed to revise pharmaco lectures 1, 2 and half of lecture 3!! oh man.. What inefficient use of time! I fell asleep (after eating breakfast somemore!!), got distracted by Yuki..

Yuki, Crystal and Oreo were at ah gong's place!! haha very rowdy! The original plan was to have Crystal & Oreo stayover at our place coz Suigu hopes we can get use to having them over in case Suigu & Suikim go for holidays.. BUT in the end, they didn't come over because of complications..

We asked Wei Wei to come over to stayover to help look after the dogs, BUT Dexter got all hung up with the idea & started sms-ing rude & out of line sms to my mum.. He was soo against the idea of Wei Wei not going CCK this weekend (it's uncle michael's turn to 'have' Wei Wei), so mummy decided to return Oreo & Crystal to Suigu.. Oreo pee-ed in the car!! And Wei Wei went to CCK (although she only got off the car when she saw Uncle Michael, coz she's scared of being alone with Dexter coz Dexter whacks her when Uncle Michael isn't at home) Imagine my horror when I heard that from 四姨.
Sms from Dexter:
"Please don't look for me anymore if you can't respect any thing. Take care of dogs? thanks for being such a fucked up bunch of people. there is no need to send my dinner and no need to pick me up tmr"

"one more thing. being an aunt you encouraged her to stay at your place when you know full well she is suppoed to be at cck. and providing an excuse which i would take or find reasonable if i be a fool. and when you know i was on the line i heard you repeatedly telling my mum to cock to me about your dogs excuse. don't need breakfast next week. Not going to th anymore to face such bullshit and obvious prejudice"

**Despite Dexter's smses, my mum still drove to cck to give him his dinner.. It just amazes me how a single request of Wei Wei staying at our place can just negate everything that my mum has done for Dexter: sending him home, sending him dinner (all the way to cck, not as though it's 顺路) etc. It really pisses me off that a 14 year old kid can send such rude smses to his aunt who has been nothing but nice to him..

Which brings me to the topic of divorce & the effect on kids.. Haiz. I'm sure I've mentioned this many times on my blog already, but somehow this topic keeps popping up! It's really sad the way things turned out. The Dexter & Wei Wei I knew when they were young, are really different to the Dexter & Wei Wei now.. They're really wilful, disrepectful at times.. WHo's at fault?! The parents for having a divorce? The childen for not keeping their wilful ways in check? The parents for allowing their children to turn out the way they are now? It's just horrible!!!!!!!!!

Moving on. I wonder what percentage of things people tell me are true. You know, ppl saying 'we're friends', 'you're ok/fine' blah blah.. Because sometimes, it's just words, no actions.. For example, *I mean no offence k?* Sam; since she's been back, we're only met up thrice - dinner with Geri, Huimin & Sam, my 21st celebration (but we hardly talked) & the morning she came to my house (for about 1+ hour). I know she's been really really busy. But looking at her blog, I just kinda feel neglected. She's been going out with Ofelia, Keting, jc classmates, colleagues, basically everyone but me. Okay. Maybe this issue is really just me being egoistical, and my one-sided thinking that I'm a good fren of Sam's (haha it's just me who considers her as a good fren). I just get this 敷衍 feeling, 纸上谈兵. OKay okay. The issue is me being insecure!! Nothing else's at fault. It's me.. =S **So it's really my issue, rather than Sam!! Sam, don't take offence k?! It's me!!**

Am I cute? haha. coz alot ppl tell me that. Kelvin (jc classmate) chose 'cute' to describe me in one of those character info sheet kinda stuff. Sam also said I'm cute.. But the dictionary defines 'cute' as 'ugly but adorable'! So I have no idea if it's a good or bad thing that I'm 'cute'.. **Once again, I mean no offence, just getting stuff off my chest.. If not I'll explode from bottling my thoughts.. Or rather, I'm finding an outlet to let off my insecurity**

Tues: Wanted to go to school early to study in the library with Tricia, but Tricia suddenly decided to go Music Library, so in the end I reached school just in time for stats lecture.. Hmmm today's lecture was pretty normal, basic probability revision..

Met Tricia for dinner at Megabites! We had dory fish pasta, and I had CHoc fudge cake for desert! Full! Then left for japanese lesson.. I was alone! Both Huimin & Wunly couldn't make it, so it was just me & me alone.. =S

Wed: Long day!! Pharmaco lecture (omg, the lecturer was going at lightning speed!) information overload.. Microbio lecture was boring & boring.. Water lecture was normal (Tricia was late by 30 minutes!! Haha she just left the house when lecture started coz she couldn't wake up after her lunch nap) Water practical was just discussion between group members about the practical & report.. Got an exchange student from Canada in our group; found it abit challenging to understand her english..

After water practical, Tricia & I took A2 to go back to science, but then that blur girl left her jacket in the GEOLAB, so we alighted at Central library. She went to get her jacket while I bought some titbits! Tricia decided to have dinner at Arts, so after dinner, we left for Science & I went home!! =)

Thurs: Spent the morning and afternoon reading through Dr Lim's water readings, so that I could get started on practical report.. Which was really tough!! haha the inertia was great & I didn't know how to start writing!! It's been so long since I touched physical geog! =S of coz, I fell asleep halfway through the readings..

Fri: Immuno lecture! Cheem as usual.. sigh. Lunch at NUH, ordered fishball noodles (not very nice), then went back to science for microbio lab.. Which was tedious & monotonous!! haha. Alot of inoculations, streaking etc..

Home! Had dinner, went online, submitted some photos for some photography competition.. hee. So I didn't manage to do anything tonight!! =S

But I shall jiayou tmr!! Immuno, pharmaco, microbio, water, stats! がんばります！

YAY!! I've finally completed "Tokyo Crazy Paradise" manga!! =) Which means I spent friday night, Saturday, Sunday & today reading TCP!! It's really quite an enjoyable read; funny, sad, touching, happy, kakkoii moments! Though I felt guilty reading TCP coz it's school term & I spent 3 days to read manga!! haha . Instead of studying.. But I couldn't stop reading! =P

Sunday: Other than staying at home to read TCP, I attended Bunka's anniversary dinner with Wunly & Huimin! Hmmm Wunly cabbed to my place, then we cabbed tog to River View Hotel; arrived around 6.05pm, just nice for me to put some make-up before. hee. We sat down at this table with 3 other guys, so it was abit awkward coz we didn't know them..

Huimin came late, so we waited for her before taking the buffet food.. Breakdance started around 8pm, then it was the Bunka Idol contestants' performances. Hmmm it got kinda boring after the first few contestants. So I stoned, chatted with Huimin & Wunly, stoned.. And our predictions of the winner & runner-up was completely wrong!! omg.. Totally unexpected!! =S

Then it was theme song-singing session, had another round of theme song singing with the teachers on stage.. Award presentation blah blah. Gima Sensei went onstage to lead us in some clapping ceremony that Japanese do during celebrations/festivals. All in all, quite an interesting & fun event!! =) Shared cab with Wunly home, then continued with TCP reading.. hee.

ARgh. I didn't study at all today!! I just went online & read Tokyo Crazy paradise (previous work of Skip Beat!'s mangaka). Then I jio-ed Tricia out to go Kino to buy manga!! Haha I had the impulse to buy whole set of Skip Beat! but then Kino didn't have the full set; so I guess it's Heaven's way of telling me I should wait until I strike 4D before buying the set.. =) So I got Tsubasa 26 & 27 with 20% discount! whee~ It's nice having a fren who's a Kino member!!

Oh oh. Before we went Kino, Tricia brought me to Orchard Central's Quiznos to try their cookie (she says it's nicer than Subway's); I ordered Cinnamon sugar while she chocolate chip. It's really yummy!! Soft & slightly crumbly!! Very fragrant too!

We had nasi lemak for dinner at ah gong's place!! =) It was kinda uneventful without the dogs.. Yup. So I just sat outside watching 'The Animal' for my 3rd or 4th time? Lost count.. haha.

Cancelled my driving test on 14th Sept coz I have lecture!! =S & I just realised that I have 2 CAs on 21st Oct!! Scared.. AND my first CA is on 16 Sept!! omg..

I spent almost a whole day in school today!! Had immuno lecture at 10am; I can feel the 'heat' of year 3 mods now!! Information overload ah! haha. okay I exaggerated abit, some of the stuff I kinda learnt in human anatomy before (but I took it in year 1!!) such as neutrophils, T cells, B cells etc.. BUT I forgot about the details alr!! So I decided to stay in school to go through lecture notes & borrow Immunobiology to browse!

But first up, lunch!! I managed to jio Shing Yee for lunch! So I went over to SDE3's studio (where Shing Yee was) to dump my bag at her table, before heading over to Engine canteen for lunch. We had japanese food (curry fish cutlet) that was below average! I left half the rice untouched.. Argh. Wished I had gotten Indo food.. Went back to Shing Yee's studio to read my notes; initially Shing Yee said she also has work to do (that I assumed would be at her work table, but it turned out she needed to go to the workshop, so I studied alone at her table with her other ID frens in the room..) -_-''' I left for sci library around 2pm.

Borrowed Immunobiology & started making notes in my lecture notes; which was quite a slow process, since I was copying and reading at the same time.. Left the library at 3.45pm for GEM2900 lecture (I decided to go for lecture slot 2 again, so I'll have a free day on Monday!! Yay! Don't need to wake at 6am!)

We had an online assignment (that's part of our CA grading) to complete, BUT the lecturer went through 3 out of the 4 questions, even telling us the correct answer to 2 questions! haha. Since it was our first assignment, he gave us an easy one & "shared" with us the correct answers; but in subsequent assignments, there would be 'thinking' questions!

Went back to library to continue making notes for Immuno, & I bumped into Hanyou studying outside the library, so I joined her there & asked for her opinion on whether I should continue my sep application.. Papa came around 640pm, so I didn;t really managed to make more notes (I was only at page 18 of the book!)

Slacked all the way when I was home.. Bathed, had dinner, surfed the net...

18th AUgust: woke at 9, had braekfast (masala thosai), then cleaned my necklaces (coz Wei Wei stayed overnight & she knocked down my X'mas tree adorned with necklaces & bracelets), went back to sleep, woke up at 1pm, bathed at 2pm, had lunch at 2.30pm, changed & left for GEM2900 lecture.

Lecture was interesting!! The lecturer asked a volunteer to go out of the LT to write 2 sequences of heads & tails (one is obtained via tossing a coin 30 times, the other is the volunteer's own made up sequence of 30 coin tosses) and then the lecturer guessed which was the really random sequence!! Lecturer's reasoning was that when a person writes a "random" sequence, it'll have short sequences of repeats & will alternate frequently, so he choose the sequence that had a sequence of 4 repeats (BUT my made up sequence had sequence sof 4 repeats leh!) & I learnt that computers generates pseudo-random sequences, SO if you know the program/deterministic rule that generates the pseudo-random numbers, you might just be able to strike 4D/lottery that much easier! [that being said, Singapore Pools uses lottery drawing machines to draw 4D, so it isn't a computer generated number..] What a pity! haha.

Initial plan was to eat dinner with Tricia (but her lessons ended in the afternoon), then Wunly & Huimin didn't want to eat (Huimin's reason being she's at home, but I had been meeting them for dinner although I was at home too. so...) Luckily, I managed to jio Audrey for Subway dinner!! =) Boarded 95 at around 640pm (waa, the bus's super crowded!) & I arrived at Buona Vista stop only at 7pm!! THe traffic's really horrible!! Took 105 to Orchard Delfi, then read through lecture notes in Classroom J's resting area..

Our 2 new classmates' Japanese are quite fluent!! Which makes me even more stressed!! haha I doubt I'll be able to get promoted anytime soon.. =S Papa came to fetch me home!! Spent the journey home sharing anecdotes of pharmaco lab, school etc with Wunly~ It's our mini-bonding session! hee.

That mummy ah!! She gave me a last minute assignment of making a birthday card for 大姨 (her birthday's tmr!!); so I stayed up till 1 plus to design the card..

19th August: Sleepy!! Had Hor fun for breakfast (oh man it was tasteless!! yikes), trimmed the bday card & added the translucent piece to the card, changed & hitched a ride from papa. THEN I realised I forgot to bring my handphone!! SO we exited the expressway & went back home to get my phone..

Pharmaco lecture was quite an overload of info! SO many things to copy! =S The same went for Microbio lecture! argh. Rushed to bus stop to take shuttle bus to FaSS for my geog lecture (met Tricia at the bus stop). I love the geog lecturer, haha, coz she manages to keep lecture non-monotonous & quirky! =)

Went back to Science coz I had session 2 of a survey to complete & I'll received $10!! hee. On the way home, I dropped by NTUC to buy some titbits. Ohya, I had a missed call from 大姨 at 12pm; turned out that she wanted me to join them for dinner tonight. =) So I just slacked at home before leaving for 灵芝 (vegetarian restaurant at Liat Towers) with mummy & 四姨. haha I changed 2 times coz Di Sheng & Wei Wei said the dresses weren't nice...

Dinner was not bad! I liked the 2nd dish the most!! haha coz it was the most tasty one.. Walked over to Ion Orchard after dinner, coz 大姨，大姨丈，四姨 & mummy haven't been to Ion Orchard (or rather they haven't been to Orchard for a long time!). For some reason, I always seemed to be in front of everybody! haha. I'll turn around to find everyone lagging behind! Okay, maybe it's me who's walking too fast (but that's my normal pace!)

I went to bed at 1130pm! Coz I didn't want to be awake at 12am (start of Lunar Seventh Month). And I brought out Yuki's mattress coz I wanted her to sleep with me so I'll feel 'protected'!! haha.

Today: Since I don't need to go to school today, I plan to 1. design bday cards for all the upcoming bdays 2. look through gem2900 online assignment 3. read though all lectures. yups. Ja ne!

OH MY GAWD! I'm SOOO bloody pissed right now!! Can you imagine getting blamed by your maid for bringing your dog down to walk & then giving her dirty towels & clothes coz they got dirtied in the process of washing your dog's paws? Well, I just bloody did!!

I was really pissed okay. I was just being nice by bringing Yuki down to walk while we went to the convenience store to buy some HL fresh milk. Then I asked Wei wei to assist me by holding onto Yuki while I washed her paws, then Yuki kept struggling, so I held onto Yuki while Wei Wei washed Yuki's paws. Then Wei Wei sprayed some water on Yuki and me. So I just splashed water on Yuki & then dried her. Since Wei Wei & my clothes were wet & dirtied, we changed.

Then Aunty started rambling: "Cheryl why you bring Yuki go down to walk? Now I have extra towels & clothes to wash. I alr have ALOT of clothes to wash".

I have NO IDEA why she said that to me when I'm NOT the one who gives her ALOT of clothes to wash. In fact, I wear my clothes a few times before washing; so in fact I am lightening her BURDEN of washing clothes (ALL THIS WHILE SOMEMORE). Then she jumps at me coz I needed to wash my dirty clothes?!? HELLO. I didn't even do it on purpose! I'm SUPER UBER PISSED LA. I've been giving her less clothes to wash compared to EVERYONE ELSE; Di Sheng & Wei WEi washes their uniform daily, so does 四姨 and mummy. YET I'm the one that gets scolded?! Bloody shit. (@*#&)%*)!@(*$&)#&^)*@&#)!*%&)#* TOOT TOOT TOOT TOOT TOOT TOOT TOOT TOOT.

AND after I rebuted her, she still DARED to RAISE her voice at me: "WHY you talk to me like that? I NEVER talk to you like that" - YEAH RIGHT. SHe was the person who started all these blaming & shit. Then she goes: "OKAY. I DON"T want to talk to you anymore. Go bath". Fine, I didn't want to waste my energy anyway, then as I was about to enter the bathroom, she went "Why everybody talk to me like that?". WAH PIANG, she can really get under my skin okay. *rolls eyes until they're like Mad EYe Moody's*

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ANGRY!! THis is how I get treated by lessening her clothes load all the time?!? An one-off event where I needed to wash the clothes (even though I just changed yesterday) ERASES all my 'clothes-savings'?! WTH. 感到超委屈，超不值得。

I feel much better after ranting here!! I'm so glad I have a blog to curse & swear at, if not I'll just explode one day & end up in IMH. Seriously. My emotions can come and go, and sometimes it's a volcano, sometimes it's a blizzard.. =(

Today @ school: As usual, was sleepy during gem2900 lecture since it's so freaking early (I had only 6 hours of sleep). Went to my special table; located outside Raffles Museum of Biodviersity Research, to study (coz I wanted to avoid the air-conditioned library - viruses/germs can spread easily & I don't wanna catch a flu bug or something). Read through pharmaco lab protocol, gem2900's lecture... Then went to library to print notes, borrowed Rang & Dale's Pharmacology to browse through (I didn't manage to browse much coz I decided to go SoC for some survey that pays $10 after 2 sessions!!)

After completing session 1 of the survey, I waited for Audrey at s16 foyer.. THen we headed to FASS THe Deck for LAKSA!! YAY! It's been 3months since I had the Laksa!! =) yummy! Went back to Sci Co-op to check prices of textbooks (Rang & Dale's cost $54.90 while Microbio cost $40); headed over to LT26 Co-op coz AUdrey wanted to get blank discs..

Pharmaco lab turned out to be interesting BUT also SUPER BORING!! Interesting coz it was the first we're doing such an experiment (we were testing drug responses of guinea pig ileum - we could see the ileum in the middle of the organ bath). Super boring coz the expt was SOOO repeititve!! It was just non-stop pipetting, unclipping of clip to wash the organ bath and waiting for 2 hours!! The most monotonous & uneventful lab ever.. ZzzZZ.

The plan for tmr is go for gem2900 lect 3 (this is not my lecture slot, but if i go tmr, then I'll have a free day on thurs!! hee.), then head to Orchard for dinner & japanese lesson! Kill 2 birds with 1 stone! =)

I was a hairstylist today!! FOr Yuki, that is! haha. Spent the morning trimming her hair (coz I wanted her to look cute like when she was a puppy with short hair) in the toilet. THen Di SHeng & I gave her a bath..

I had a heavy breakfast!! Uncle bought 2 puri for me, then aunty gave me some of her masala thosai, & I have 2 half pies from Pie Kia (which I bought yesterday at Tiong Bahru). Burps.

Went out in the afternoon to Ikea, partly for the meatballs teabreak & partly to walk walk.. AND guess who we saw at Ikea, sitting a few tables away!?!? EDMUND CHEN! haha. This's the the 2nd time in my life I've seen him during shopping! haha. The first was at Hougang Central (back when I was staying at Serangoon, I was about 5 years old? Can't rmb exactly, but I rmb-ed mummy going up to him & saying we like his shows, and Edmund Chen said 'thank you') Edmund Chen was with his son & daughter (Xiang Yun wasn't with them). Wow. His son is really tall!! Almost as tall or maybe slightly taller than Edmund CHen!

National Day Rally Speech 2009. There was this part where the PM Lee was talking about guy who came to Singapore to live (coz of some fightings in his home country) & attained a Certificate in Tourism (I think) and that the guy planned to setup his own EATERY. At this moment, my mum went "aiyo, come to Singapore to earn a degree, then go to Italy" at which my dad went "ha nor". HAHAHA. My mum actually heard "Italy" instead of "eatery". HILARIOUS. Another word my mum mis-heard was "cannibal" instead of "horrible"; I forgot what sentence the word was in, but still!!! Once again, I corrected her & she went "aiyo, the PM should change his accent, I cannot understand what he's saying!"

And that concluded my viewing of the National Day Rally Speech 2009.

Friday: Immuno lecture at 10am was boring.. Partly coz the lecturer was pretty monotonous & partly coz the content seemed like revision.. Went to NUH with Nabha & Senthil for lunch; ordered ban mian, wasn't particularly nice.. Went back to campus, sat around the tables outside lt 25. Then I decided to go Dean's office to enquire about my SEP status.. It seems that I am able to continue my SEP application to HKUST, now I'm wondering if I should go apply: 1. next sem I'll be the only one left in S'pore 2. It'll be nice to have 5 SU mods! 3. I feel like stepping out of my comfort zone 4. Having SU mods means that my CAP won't be increased or decreased BUT I would like to increase my CAP, so I dunno if having SU mods's a good idea now..

Microbio lab was pretty much revision, we did everything before in year one BioD Microbio lab alr.. So it was pretty slack. I didn't know anyone in my Bench (though there were 2 guys from my previous Exp Mol Bio bench) & I have a guy lab partner!! Okay, initially I was pretty stressed out, but after a while, I kinda got used to it.. And I think he's abit blur! haha. Like he used the side we marked a circle using crayon to smear the bacteria (erm abit contaminating & affecting the results); TA mentioned not to measure the RBC, when viewing the protozoan coz it was obtained from blood samples, which was exactly what he did.. -_-''' Luckily, I knew some stuff, NOT to say I wasn't blur initially haha coz it has been 3 months since my last labwork..

Lab ended early by 30 minutes, so I went to Sci library to print notes.. =) Then went home sweet home!!

Saturday: Arranged to go watch 4.30pm "Up!" with Tricia at Tiong Bahru. BUT that Tricia seemed unenthu in her smses, so I thought she wasn't interested, turns out that she was just lazy to step out of her house "inertia". -_-''' Made me worried for nothing, as though I was forcing her to go watch with me.. Then I asked her to ask her mum & Clarissa along if they want to watch..

Left house at 3.15pm, which meant I was going to be late (although mummy was fetching me) coz we had to go fetch 二姨. On the way, I asked Wei Wei if she wanted to come watch together.. So we reached around 4pm, Tricia spotted us from a shop she was shopping at; then I went to Watsons to get my Bio-essence stuff..

I LOVED the movie!! =) It was funny & interesting & rather inspirational. I cried at some parts: 1. at the end of the love story between Carl & Ellie when Ellie died. 2. When Carl had to decide between letting go of the house he once shared with Ellie (I guess you could extend it to mean letting go of Ellie) and saving his new fren Russell & Kevin; the part where he was flipping through Ellie's "My new book of adventures" & he saw photos of their married life in the section of "Stuff I'm going to do" and a message from Ellie: "Thanks for the adventure! Go have a new one. Love, Ellie". He started throwing furniture & everything out so that the balloons could lift the house up!!

Awwww. And I cried at the part where Carl came to Russell's badge ceremony to pin his "Ellie's Award" Grape Soda badge!! So sweet~ =)

12 August: My first day of school!! I had pharmaco, microbio & water lecture today.. Pharmaco seemed interesting (but lots of memory work) & lecture ended in 1 hour! Cool! Accompanied Nabha & Senthil to Dean's office & went Co-op to kill time.. haha. Microbio lecturer was quite naggy (reminds me of Bioinfo lecturer), she took so long to talk about some Biosafety lab levels (which i doubt will be tested) & she hurried through the last few slides coz she was running out of time (she lectured for like 1h45min).. I was worried I'll be late for my Water lecture at Arts!! And the shuttle buses were sooo packed! Not to mention the big bunch of other students waiting to board the bus too.. Luckily I made it just on time!! Water lecturer was interesting; she had a perky sorta voice (so it wasn't sleep-inducing) & she kept asking students to drop the mod if we found the module to be uninteresting/scary..

Tricia & I went home (instead of our original plan of dropping by Geri's); reached home about 4.35pm, bathed, ate korean noodles, read 8days, tried to take a nap at 6.30pm, but I was getting calls from Geri, smses from Ah xian jiejie & Tricia, so I gave up on napping & went to have dinner.. Tricia was complaining about her Maths lecturer (via sms) & she left halfway through her lecture!! To go Jurong Point Popular to buy her 'City of Glass' storybook. **I volunteered to get it for her, while she's in lecture, but she decided to leave her lecture to go Popular.. So I met her on 154..

She managed to find her book & bought it (well, she couldn't spot the book initially, so we approached the staff; but right after we asked the staff, Tricia spotted the book! -_-''') Bought Mac's Cornetto McFlurry!! =) Took 30 to Geri's place, reached around 10+. We just sat in the living room, chilling, talking about random stuff (food, chocolates, what will happen if Tricia meets a guy during her UK exchange next sem..) Geri went to bathe, then I went up to her room; asked her how she was feeling about her year-long exchange.. She said she's just 'waiting for the next step'. Then Tricia joined us, talked about marriage & how I'd be the last to get married (if it's even possible), then Geri said if she doesn't get married by 35 (as if that'll happen right?) she & I can go adopt children! muhaahaha.

Left for Airport around 1140pm, Geri's pri school friends were there alr.. After our 'incident' at the money exchange, we headed for Popeye's Chicken!! YAY!! It was the highlight!! hee. Tricia & I shared large fries & mashed potato! Yummy!! It's my fav mashed potato ever!! whee. hmm it was quite weird sharing a table with Geri's other frens, so Tricia & I just chatted among us 2.. Took photos with Geri; I helped to take photos of Geri's family.. I called papa at 1.15am to come fetch us (Ain't he the greatest dad? I wanted to take a cab, but papa said 'let me earn the $20 cab fare' haha. Even Min Shin commented that I have such a nice dad)

Saying farewell to Geri wasn't as emotional as I thought it would be. I expected myself to cry, but maybe the setting wasn't 'right' since we were at Popeye's & not at the Departure hall (whatever that place's called, you know the one where you stand ouside the glass plane, waving goodbye to your friends.. I hardly take airplane, so can't blame me! haha) It felt more like a goodbye from a friends gathering. Tricia & I left to go find papa's car; & I realised I left my takeaway mashed potato at Popeye's while in the car!! So I called Geri & asked if she could bring it down for me & she did!! Awww. That's soooo sweet of her!! **Geri's flight was at 645am, so she's only checking in at 445am, but Tricia & I couldn't tahan till then, so we left around 2am

I reached home around 3am & went to bed around 330am, I had lecture at 8am so I only had 3 hours of sleep!!

13 August: Sleepy!! Understanding Stats lecture was quite scary!! The answers I thought were correct turned out to be wrong!! omg. Bad way to start a module.. =S Hopefully it'll get better; if not "我问天我问天" (hokkien song). ANyway, I was struggling to stay awake during lecture!! I kept yawning & I slept during the 15min break the lecturer gave.. ZZzzzZ. Rushed to MPSH1 to exchange my my tertiary EZ link card with the new concession card; the place was rather empty, so I didn't need to queue. Yay!

Rushed home so that I could have my sleep!! Slept from 1030am to 130pm. Had lunch. Tricia & I originally planned to watch "Up" in the afternoon, but Tricia said she didn't have the energy to watch, so we cancelled our movie outing, and I went back to sleep!! hee. Woke up at 530pm to go bathe, then started printing my Immuno notes & Microbio practical for tmr..

Had dinner while watching Friends Season 10, the episodes where Rachel was planning to go Paris for her Louis Vuitton job.. There was this scene where she was saying goodbye individually to Phoebe, Monica, Chandler, Joey; everyone was crying & everything.. THEN it hit me & tears started falling out!! One long year without Geri!! No outings with Geri, no Shopping with Geri, no X'mas lunch with Geri, no bday celebration for Geri, No Geri!! =( Oh gosh, I miss her already!! sobs. And just thinking that next sem, it'll be just me left in Singapore, makes it worse!! Ailin's alr in Shanghai, Geri's gone to Toronto, come next sem, Tricia's going UK.. I'll just coop at home the next sem..

9th August: Woke around 10, practised guitar, had late breakfast (roti prata), bathed, had lunch (porridge), packed bag for Tricia's chalet, left for Sui Gu's house. Mummy, UNcle David, 四姨 and Sui Kim played mj, while Di SHeng & I played with Yuki, Oreo & Crystal! Or rather looked after; coz Yuki & Crystal kept 'fighting'. Uncle David kept bugging me with his 'self-intro' tactics: "Nice weather for chalet ya? Btw, I'm Cheryl, nice to meet you. I'm from NUS." ARgh. So cheesy right?! haha.

Papa came around 3.45pm to fetch Yuki & DI SHeng back home, and me to Geri's place; so I could hitch a ride from Geri to Tricia's chalet. Waa. Tricia's chalet was sooo far from the poolside! We had to walk approx 1km? Tricia's dad came to open the door! haha he saw us approaching the bungalow from the back..

Geri helped Tricia to put makeup! haha it was really comical watching Tricia; first she opened her eyes before the liquid eyeliner dried, so she had a tiny little dot stain. Second, she was scared of the lash curler & kept "aah-ing". Then I put some makeup myself & Geri also helped to put eye shadow for me coz I couldn't see clearly. Poor ALicia was doing her physics tuition hw (her prelims are next week!)

Caterer Ivins Ivins were late!! Poor Tricia was fretting over the guests arriving before the food arrived; luckily the food did come before the guests arrived! =) Geri & I practised our songs upstairs in the room, before going downstairs around 7pm to get food!! We were starving!! THe food was really nice!! Haha I took quite alot. Saw parts of National Day parade, then Darren came; we went upstairs to practise guitar for abit before going downstairs to play mj with Tricia's Yi Poh. I recited the pledge while playing mj (coz nobody was reciting!!) at 8.22pm.

Cake-cutting time! THe cake was pretty!! 2 layers - top was lychee martini (I liked this better) bottom was chocolate. After the cake-cutting, Tricia's yipoh left, so Geri, Darren and I played with Tricia's dad/Alicia. After most of the guests (Tricia's jc classmates) left, we went upstairs to 'perform' our 2 songs to Tricia! (haha Geri & I got cold feet) THough Tricia had alr seen our 'performance' when we were practising the songs.. -_-'''

After our 'performace', Tricia & I changed into shirts & fbts, then we continued our mj game till 12am.. coz Geri & Darren had to leave.. After they left, Tricia & I went to remove our makeup, brush up, then Tricia opened her presents!! ALicia was sleeping alr, so we sat outside the room. It was quiet except the 2 of us!! Everyone was sleeping le.. Then we just sat there, talking about stuff.. haha Tricia didn't know that we just need to do 3 mods per sem in yr 4!! SHe was sooo happy when she found out it was true! That girl ah..

We went to bed around 130am.. haha Tricia & I shared a bed, coz there were only 2 beds in the room; Alicia was sleeping on the other bed.. I didn't sleep immediately coz I wasn't feeling sleepy yet..

10th August: I woke up at 10am! And I was the only one left in the room!! haha there I was thinking I woke up quite early.. Tricia & Alicia woke up around 850am.. Had peanut pancake for breakfast, watched those re-runs of old Channel 8 shows. Tricia could rmb the storyline for 飞越珍珠坊. Played the guitar for abit, before packing & heading downstairs to wait for the staff to come checkout the chalet..

THe chinese restaurant we planned to have lunch at was close; so we went to Katong Mall's Pastamania for lunch! We ordered Hawaiian, Meat Lover, Supreme 10 inch pizzas, garlic bread & soup. =) Each of us had 4 slices of pizzas!! Tricia wanted to watch G.I. Joe coz her fren said it was super nice. So we went to buy 3.10pm tickets!

G.I. Joe was really nice!! haha. It's something like X-men; but instead of mutant powers, they had technology powers! The show ended around 5.10pm,then Tricia's dad gave me a lift to Queenstown mrt.. Omg.. I thought my shoulder was going to drop off!! My bag was damn heavy coz I brought along my whole stack of guitar chord sheets etc.. =(

Continued sorting my photos into the albums at night.. Watched my recorded shows.. Then Audrey called me to ask me about 我要唱下去, coz April jie jie saw me on tv!! haha. They showed me being interviewed by 周崇庆. Aiyah! I nv record the show!!

11th AUgust: Woke around 9am with a sore throat! Had honeydew for breakfast, then went back to sleep for about 2 hours.. Started printing lecture notes.. Yay I managed to find some of my Thailand'07 photos that I had lost! Luckily papa had a copy! =)

I'm going to spend the rest of today sorting my photos, & packing my room (if time allows) haha.. Sigh. I can't believe I have lab the first week of school!! STupid microbio..

Friday: Spent the morning sorting my photos into my photo albums.. Then around 230pm, Geri came over to make our present for Tricia!! =) We took 3 hours just cutting, then another 2 hours to decorate/design!! haha. Yuki tried to lick Geri!! But not as enthusiastic as Tricia, coz Geri was giving a 'don't lick me' vibe! haha. Though they got on pretty well!! =)

Saturday: "Photo album-ing". I was halfway through 2004's photos, when I realised I forgot to include my movie stubs, ticket stubs, memorabilia!! So I enlisted the help of Wei wei to take out the photos, while I worked on sticking the stubs to pieces of paper, for ease of inserting into the album.. =) All in all, LOTS OF HARD WORK!! But the satisfaction I get is priceless! whee.

大姨丈 struck 4D 3 weeks ago, so he treated us to dinner tonight!! (it was postponed 3 times haha) We had crab, prawns, venison, fish, toufu.. sumptious dinner! After dinner, hitched a ride home from 大姨丈, packed my photos & albums; afterwhich mummy came to pick me up to go Sui Gu's house!

Thurs: Back from M'sia!

Went City Square's Optimax to have an eye checkup to determine if I'm suitable for Lasik. First, I went through 5 machines; one spurted air into my eyes, 3 involved shining light into my eyes.. THe 'spurting air' machine was quite scary! Imagine opening your eyes wide to spurting air! I jumped almost everytime the air spurted! Then it was the routine 'vision testing' test, see dots, see alphabets etc..

THen it was time to dilate my ciliary muscles; the lady gave me some 'anaesthetic' eyedrops that stung like crazy!! I teared immediately. Then she added another eyedrop (that thankfully didn't sting). My eyelids felt numb.. After half an hour, she gave me another eyedrop that stung a little. Soon after, my near vision was blurry. I couldn't read the forms she gave me!! haha I had to remove my glasses & bring the forms to my eyes.. -_-''' macam 老花眼. argh. The whole checkup lasted approx 1.5hours.

Went to grab a bite (Sedap's Corner's fish hor fun - RM9.80), then had Auntie Anne's CHoc Eclair Pretzel (RM3.20), tapau-ed Secret Recipe's cakes for breakfast. Afterwhich, we left for Holiday Inn where I bought 2 hairbands (from CHameleon; RM12.90 each) & 3 pairs of shoes! Tapau-ed KFC for dinner, coz papa didn't want to eat in M'sia for fear that he'll have stomachache & get stuck in causeway jam.

ALthough papa wanted to go straight home, I managed to persuade him to go IMM coz I wanted to get the photo albums I saw at Popular (we didn't manage to find better deals in M'sia). Mummy went to Four Leaves to get her favourite Chocolate bread *note to self*. =)

** I'm typing this with slightly improved vision (typing last night would be a tortue for my eyes!!) haha. I can't wait for my vision to return to normal!! It's rather inconvenient, not being able to read things & see my food clearly (I ate a few slices of ginger while eating my hor fun yesterday)
